Chase Halland was born in 1983 in the coastal town of Kingston, Washington, but spent most of his early years in the Big Sky country of Montana. Chase now resides in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho with his wife of 18 years and their 2 children. His passion and dream to pursue his artistry full-time became a reality in 2014 with the opening of his business, Faraway Lovely.
At the core of Chase's creative vision are his custom art mounts, which seamlessly blend the bold aesthetic of Pendleton® fabrics with the time-honored tradition of taxidermy. This fusion results in a contemporary reinterpretation of a cherished heritage. It's a departure from conventional taxidermy, marking a progressive shift in this age-old art form.
Chase's remarkable achievements have not gone unnoticed. In 2014, his collaborative Deer Mounts with Benny Gold garnered recognition on the esteemed Hypebeast blog. And in 2019, HGTV prominently featured his iconic Moose Mount, adorning the great room of their 2019 HGTV Dream Home, nestled in the mountain town of Whitefish, Montana. Halland's work enjoys a distinct favorability among homeowners, cabin enthusiasts, and interior designers alike. His creative journey has been punctuated by tackling unique and imaginative client requests, most notably with the Moose, Caribou, Bison, and most recently, the ambitious projects involving a full body Deer and a Bear.
Chase Halland continues to push creative boundaries and captivate and inspire connoisseurs of contemporary artistry.
